Opened in 1991, Taipan offers modern Mandarin-Chinese cuisine in an elegant setting in the Well's Fargo Center in Downtown Los Angeles. The kitchen offers over 150 items daily, including many creative specialties unavailable in the West. The restaurant's black lacquered dining chairs were custom made for Taipan in China. There is a full bar, a private dining room, and accommodations for up to 250 people.

We continue a tradition of critically-acclaimed Chinese cuisine in Southern California. The principals of Taipan contribute an expertise in food preparation that extends from China to Los Angeles.

Food selection is unlimited and includes the cuisine of all Oriental cultures. We can provide cuisine specific to one culture or a combination of Oriental dishes.

We can cater appetizer parties, buffets, or full-course sit-down dinner. We can be the exclusive caterers of an event, or a contributor of Oriental specialties to multi-cultural events.
